The Dry Platino is made from Italian dry denim with a deep blackish-clue hue from the denim mill, Candiani. Tones this deep are usually achieved by dyeing the warp yarns in sulfur and indigo dye but Candiani substitute that sulfur for something much more friendly! It's a waste-based mineral dye called EarthColors and its synthesized from natural, non-edible, agricultural waste like leaves and nutshells. It combines with the indigo to give a great shade to the denim! If that's not enough, Candiani also dye the denim in a way that successfully keeps the core of the yarn mostly undyed; so if you hate the slower aging process of your average dry denim, these are the ones for you!! |
